The repast turned out a very merry one. We are up at Brighthelmstone to the end of July. 1820, with no idea of leaving England before the spring, and certainly nothing about it until we actually arrived, except a general sense of what you would say, if you had the gift of prophecy, that England would be an unhealthy country to live in at the time, unless one could keep out of it.
