: Add to this: Before we go overboard and start saying that some of the oldsongs like the above were copied from the south we should remember that in the olden days the reverse was really truetoo, that songs in the south were copied from hindi songsand sometimes some of the movies were remade in south indianlanguages............I would not use the word copied,it would rather be adapted or remade. Sometimes songs basedon the same RAGA will sound similar and so cannot be strictly called copied...i thought we already had enough of this and had all but killed the beast already,don't we have any other ideas?How about checking out the raga on which a given song wascomposed and check whether it was filmed in the appropriatetime setting. For example the song s 'garjat barsat saawanaayo re..' was filmed during the rains and is composed in raga megh malhar...Also if some film song was inYaman, was it filmed during an evening time, or if it isin basant does the song express the various qualitiesof the raga.......I am not able to express exactly whatI mean, but hopefully somebody will pick it up. @UnknownIt's most probably Tea. Ive not checked very keenly but they look like tea plantations. Just for an idea tea is planted in hills, a lot in North east India, and some in South too, near Ooty etc. It may be an area somewhere in or nearby Ooty, as that's not too far from Chennai. 2b1af7f3a8
