Loading up the Devo Box LP on a turntable is pretty much like putting on an old play. It seats you comfortably, smiles almost knowingly, and it don't give a damn about your troubles. Devo were the electronic music of my youth: the music that made me realize that electronic music could be as thoughtful, and witty as humanly possible. It was a wonderful time for both of us and Devo's music still has the power to make me smile.
