The first thing you will notice is the new interface for Artec Studio. Right click and select the Articulate Default Program, this will open up the Articulate Studio Program folder. The Articulate Studio Package is a separate package from the Articulate Core, this package contains all the interfaces and SDKs needed to create a program. ProgramInterfaces, Media, and Format.pl files are added to the Articulate Studio Install, these files and their options are described in more detail below for those of you interested in the SDKs.
Open the Articulate Studio Program Package and you will see three blank interfaces. Select the new Media Interface, this will open up a blank Media Interface Assembly that will display three child components. To the left of the assembly is the Component Tree, to the right is a Simulink Generated Structure in which you will drag component assemblies on to, and between components. Before creating a new project with logical blocks, you need to know how to create a graph or model from the component library, or else the blocks you are adding will be hollow.
Let's start by creating a media interface. Click on the Media Interface item on the GUI ribbon, this will open a blank Media Interface Assembly in the same window as the Component Tree, select the blank Media Concepts tab, then click Create New Concept on the toolbar. Name the concept "Media". Click the apply icon on the toolbar or return to the connection editor to assign your "Media" concept to the controller/output of the first controller in the Media Controller block.
Go to the Design tab on the ribbon and select the Media Controller. If you look in the controller's hierarchy with the top menu, you will see a component called Media Controller, drag it and the Media Concept from the concept tree, into the Media Controller, shown in Figure 24.
After downloading, open the folder that contains the executable and run it. Follow the instructions on the installation screens. Once Artec Installation Center is installed, you will see a dialog requesting your email address and password. Use your my.artec3d account to log in as Figure 23 shows. d2c66b5586
